One possibility to consider when deciding where to rent is the Spanish closing the border post Brexit, or just making the run as difficult as possible.

Spain is on Lockdown, so I doubt you would be able to rent anywhere now and travel to Gibraltar.

Thanks for the replies.  Because I'm an essential worker I have been told that GHA give me a ley which allows their staff to cross. I know a lot of the staff live in Spain

You are correct that many people who work in Gibraltar live in Spain.  Might be an idea to speak to your new employer; there may be other colleagues who know of someone or the tricks of renting somewhere and getting to work.

Brexit may well cause some political instability; even now the Spanish politicians are not beyond closing the border to everyone, regardless of status.

Congratulations on your new job.

I saw your post and wondered whether you were able to find accommodation in Gibraltar and if the GHA helped with this? This was the thing that put me off applying when I saw the job advertised earlier this year.

Also I wondered if you did in fact choose to live in Spain and commute?

Hi I’m also planning to move to Gibraltar this year we have one dog and cat could you advise me on how I can get them moved direct to Gibraltar airport
