I have multiple fave old TV series:

The Sweeney

Survivors (the old 1970s series, not the new)

Special Branch

Dr Who (not the new series with Ncuti Gatwa)

Thunderbirds

Travelers (on Netflix)

Star Trek

Star Wars (not all shows)

The Invaders (excellent 1960s show)

Outer Limits

I had copies of these shows on a disk drive and it went belly up!  But I did manage to save some of the shows.

Back around 1997 I was hooked on daily viewing of the old tv show from the 1960s, Hawaii 5-0.

The series with Jack Lord as the lead.

It was never my type of show when it was on weekly tv but somehow I was so into watching it 20 some years later.

Book them Danno!

I loved that show!  5-0 the old version, not the new one.  The titles were great.  I started watching various shows and movies with Jack Lord in.  He was quite a good baddie.  Apparently he was a tyrant and just horrible on set.

James McArthur (Danno) was of course a fresh faced child actor of sorts and he died relatively young (72).  Shame as I liked him.

I first saw him in the 1960s movie.  I always wanted to go and live on a desert island like theirs, especially with all their Disney style innovations.   They didn't have the Internet though.

Wow, glad to know I am not the only one who liked that show; It was so serious the way Lord played it.

I do remember James McArthur in other films.

72 sounds old but as that number gets closer to reality it seems so young.

My husband lately is always telling me he is old, he is 77. I tell him all the time he is still a kid and needs to grow up!

It is all in the mind, well sometimes in the joints too!

Very strange story,

my deceased sister passed back in 1991.

In the 70s she had a room mate, a nice normal women;My sister hung out with the oddest people but she was smart and roomed with a normal women who worked 9 to 5 and always paid her share of the rent and sometimes went out with my sister but kept her grounded.

She is still on my FB contacts although I hardly write her. Just makes me miss my sister too much.

Well, I decided to wish her a Happy Moms Day.

She wrote me and told me how things were going in her life;

Her back has a hernia in a disk and her knee is shot, terrible.

What is worst is she mentioned her husband is depressed; something about his job and troubles from covid times;

He will not leave the house, will not cut his hair, beard, nails or shower!!!

Said he smells and looks like a homeless man!

How on earth can she stand it????

I think she should have him in hospital or in therapy.

Good grief, 3 days of my husband not shaving and I refuse to be seen with him!
