Single females who have successfully retired to Italy

dtognarelli2

I am seriously considering to make my retirement years in Italy. It would likely be the southern part of the country since the north is too expensive. My concern is that I feel secure and that I won't be "taken for a ride" because I am older, female, and single. My Italian is improving but I do not yet have the facility to conduct conversations since I have had no practice. I would be interested in hearing from anyone in my situation. Thank you.

There are places in the north where it is not expensive and the weather in summer is much more bearable.

I am also a single female hoping to retire to in Italy. And very limited Italian (with a permanent Pimsleur subscription!) I have been checking out the area around Cortona--know one couple there--and Umbria. "Above Rome" was the recommendation I received as the infrastructure was more developed. I'll be going back this November (figured I should experience the rainy season) to explore the local and regional buses. I would appreciate hearing any tips you learn.

Good morning madam I hope you vare doing well?

Taken about taking byiur retirement in Italy bis a very good idea especially in the southern part of the country is far better, first of all the low cost of living in the southern part compared to the central and northern parts, second the joy and openness of the people of the south, the beeches 梧 the environment the climate lesser colder then the north, I think it's the best place to take your retirement in Italy. And what city in the southern are you thinking about??

Good morning madam, that is a very good idea taking your retirement back to Italy, Italy bis a very good and homefull place, and for my advice, I think the southern part of the country is the best for retirement and to enjoy your vacations. Due to the climate, the beaches and especially the happiness and openness of the southernance.
