Permesso di Soggiorno

Hi. After 3 months, I am still waiting for my Permesso di Soggiorno from the Immagration Office of the Questura. I'm beginning to get worried that they have lost my paperwork. Does anyone have experience with the office in Florence? Is it time for me to make a trip there to question the situation? Also, when I finally do receive the Permesso, I will be going to the Comune to file for residency. I have heard that they will not accept a "tourist" apartment rental contract, only a "resident" rental contract. Does anyone one if this is true? Thanks much.

hope all went well with u ..and already you had your permission

I just read the post today and here's my experience

I just made the documents last Thursday , and they informed that I can have the permission by 1st week of May.
which makes almost 2 months;聽 so I suggest you go and follow once again.
for the residence, they asked to have copy of the contract of where we live.
* we are in Pistoia comune ( 30 km from Florence)
