I want to live in Italy!

Hi, I am new to this site and I am looking to move to Leece, Italy within a year.聽 I have never lived abroad so I have no idea how to even start. I live in the US, and visited Italy for the first time last year. It was amazing and made me yearn to live there for a while. Any tips on where to start would be helpful. I am starting an Italian online course soon, but not sure what my next step should be. I am 52 and have done a variety of jobs, I would be open to working all types of jobs.

I wouldn't look nosy, but it is rather weard for someone who had never lived abroad deciding to start from Lecce... is it there anything you've felt in love with? the sea? the food? the people?
