Delay in obtaning “Authorisation of temporary stay/AST

florian kolto

I have been informed by my visa agent that the application has not yet been submitted due to a delay in obtaining an appointment.

As it has now been over 50 days, I would appreciate any insights into the expected time frame for securing an appointment and submitting the application from the Employer side. They must apply further for “Authorisation of temporary stay/AST” with the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in Luxembourg, which is a mandatory document to obtain a long-term D visa.

Appreciate your support.

Hello florian kolto,

As I suggested in the first topic you created on the subject, the best thing to do is to contact your embassy, or the Luxembourguish Ministry of Foreign Affairs directly. You can send them an email, they usually answer quite quickly. It's the best way to know where your file's at. Having an appointment at the ministry regarding a visa can change considerably depending on many different factors and it's impossible to tell you if 50 days is a normal delay or not. There are no normal delay in those cases.

Hope this help,

Lauranne
