Do New Zealand Citizens need work visa?

Amit_K

Hi All

Will appreciate your feedback...does anyone know if New Zealand citizens need a work permit to move to Malta?

Also how does finding a job in the travel and tourism arena fit there? Is English language widely used there?

Thanks
Amit

"does anyone know if New Zealand citizens need a work permit to move to Malta?" you need a residence visa (unless you are married to an EU citizen), and a work permit is one class of residence visa

English and Maltese are the joint official languages of Malta

Hi Amit,

welcome to the forum.

Yes, you will need a work permit to work in Malta. As a third-country national that will be rather difficult to come by ....

A 'job in the travel industry' is very general. You would only qualify for a job role that cannot be filled with a Maltese or EU citizen.

What kind of job are you qualified for?

Maltese is the language of Malta but English is also spoken although many jobs require Maltese language skills.

Cheers
Ricky
