Hi fruit,

welcome to the forum .

If someone hired you as their au-pair they have to help you with your visa !

How is the situation in Philippines?

thanks ricky, but the problem is they also don't know what type of visa i should have and they are asking me to search about it.

hmmm can you help me with these? i was confused when i searched about visas and requirements

If i just take the working visa what are the requirements?

How long also is the validity of each visa?

Thank you for the response

Hi fruit,

your future employer will have to apply for a work permit for you :

Work permits are issued for a maximum of 1 year. Au-Pair could fit into the section about home-based carers . They should check out the requirements for the application.

You will have to apply for a long-stay (national) visa. As far as I know they are processed by the Embassy of Spain in Manila for Malta.

Check out the section on supporting documents required.

Your future employer should contact the Dep.°µÍø½ûÇø Affairs in Valletta for more information.

Work permit and visa are two separate issues!

Cheers
Ricky
