a good maltese or sicilian wine lovely.....

put a small peeled onion in honey overnight.. next morning drink the syrup ( a teaspoon 3 times a day) .. does wonders

u can also boil a glass of red wine, let it cool a little, put a tablespoon of honey and drink... but do this before u sleep., and only if u r not taking any medicines.... u will sleep like a baby !

I would really suggest letting the chemist choose for you, or even better - seeing a doctor! There arer several kinds of cough, which need different kinds of syrups. You already defined that it's dry, which is important - but why is it there? Is it a leftover from a flu, or due to smoking, or due to allergies? Different treatments for each... you really shouldn't be treating just the symptom - need to get to the cause I'm a nurse at the emergency department and I'm tired of seeing patients in poor condition after months of taking the wrong syrup...

Could be allergies, just go to any pharmacy ask for a doctor 5-10 euro for visit..good luck , na zdorov'e

Anyway, why go to a doctor and waste time?
A good vintner is all you need and there are plenty on Malta/Gozo.

Or a supermarket.
