Missing Malta x-pats-x-malta

jim IPTV2

We have been back in UK now well over a year but not a day goes by without us missing it. All the sights and daily living makes it so worth while, the things like Jumping on my little boat and speeding out to do a few hours fishing or running up to Camino for a spot of diving and now memories, the mad things like Popeye Village make Malta so different as do the people, if you are thinking of leaving cling on with all your strength because it truly is something special, I am selling my business back here and soon as it goes through I will be there with you guys lapping up the sun at St Peters Pool on a Sunday.....Missin Malta Now Jim

So refreshing to hear a positive spin from someone who left and wants to return - rather than from those who have left with a 'chip' on their shoulder.

I'm sure that when you get back it will be as if you had never left.

Good luck

Mike

am not so sure everyone returns to their homeland with a chip on their shoulder Mike (and yes i know you didnt say that - like what I did there)- people leave for all sorts of reasons - a chip maybe one of them but I dont believe for one moment it is the main one..

...........like what you did there toon, but just to clarify my remark (see what I did there) I only ever get to hear the moans of people who have left with that chip on their shoulder.  Those returning for other reasons......family, job, social etc don't normally come back to praise it's many facets; and I think also, that it is because those type of people are well balanced, can adjust and have proper lives.

You just get your psych up for that important derby match this Sunday.....we need you to take the points off them.

Cheers

mikea

You and me both Jim!...

Circumstances are a real pain at times but you just have to keep on believing that the change you are looking for is just around the corner!!!

i agree not many people make comments for those other reasons...

we are definitely up for that match Mike for sure and afer the last 20 mins of the benfica game if we perform like that with the same final 11 the commitment and urgency then its a mere formality . sadly it may contribute to sending the mackems down....

Toon

i found some change this morning.

Sorry for being off topic but just would like to say that Newcastle was one of my favorite teams when I was living in the UK previously. But, being Portuguese and a Benfica supporter, I couldn't be happier for Benfica to reach the semi-finals of the Europa League :D

.....that would be a crying shame.......:D

I agree about the Benfica game, I actually thought that you'd nick the game.  Good to see a manager play 4 2 4........very adventurous.

Hey Mantonas

we could get a great 'international' football group going in, Il-melliena, and I think that you can beat Fenerbahce as well.

It's all about the football - with a few drinkypoo's and chat as well.........I can't wait to get out there again soon. I suppose that I am so jealous that I have to wait a while....

Take care all

Mike

Benfica - we played well for the last 20 minutes and thought we might have nicked it but that sloppy defence of ours was abysmal - it has more holes than rab c nisbets vest....

but good luck to Benfica - they did the joib and i thoiught overall deserved it...they play blooming good footy..bets ive seen for a while Barca aside of course.

There is already a large footy fraternity in the village for sure - usually gathering at billys (7 screens) and reflections (3 screens).....anyway apologies for the off topic too.

mantonas

Thanks Mike & toon ;)

I look fw to meet you guys in one of those "footy fraternity in the village" over few pints of larger :D

And about Benfica, yes, they actually doing a great season and playing good football at the moment, nationally and internationally. I am quite happy with the way they have being playing so far... :)
