Just got a reply back saying they need the document before they can release out container. I have replied that this is impossible if we can't get an appointment and also the waiting list is long. We have one container coming from Singapore and one from the UK. I have also contacted a legal company to see if there is a way round this. I will keep you posted. Good luck with the move

Remember the DCEA have said to the British High Commission that your resident status is not affected by the delays in the DCEA ability (or lack of ) to issue a e-Residency permit.

When we went to collect our trailer from the Hal Far bonded warehouse they only looked at our shipping documents although we we had passports etc with us.

I have had an e-mail back and containers from the UK do not require documentation. Apparently the problem is the container from Singapore with most of our goods. This is due to the fact it is coming from out with the EU. According to the man 'if' you can get an appointment and produce your passport the document takes 10 minutes to issue. However the stumbling block is getting the appointment.

I am very reliably informed that coming from the UK will present no problems. From outside EU, is another issue, perhaps.

As long as you get your passport number on the shipping documents, then showing your passport when you go to collect should be sufficient.

One should be a copy of the other ie you get a copy of the shipping document so it would be on both.

I have been required to submit a copy of my passport with the accompanying documentation.
