Forestals is one of the main companies although I have had very good experience with Flamingo (On the road towards the Mriehel bypass) and their prices were very good.  Although you can purchase from Sicily as well and get it shipped.

I have found top choice in hamrun to be excellent in choice and price.

Bosch in Mriehel (near MFSA) or Siemens in Atrium

I bought and electric cooker here with four burners and an oven.
For 400 euro Forestals and Bosch wanted 900 to 1000 euro where very pricey.

As I have decided that I am going to buy appliances from Sicily, my concern is whether I could have technical assistance in Malta, in case I would have some troubles with my appliances.

Is there any technical assistance for the following brands here in Malta?

- Rex
- Samsung
- Bosch
- LG

I think your problem would be in getting a Maltese firm willing to do any repair under warranty. You could be faced with having to return the item at your expense to Sicily.
In the UK you can take out an insurance policy to cover white goods but never seen the same thing in Malta. Might be worth asking your insurance agent about.

TBH - Terry i ve come a cross only a few who actually honour any guarantee never mind issue a longer insurance based one

Malta is not exactly renowned for its helpful customer service is it!!!! except when there is a likely hood of a tip.

That's what I meant, doing someone else's repair for nothing, in Malta.

TOTALLY AGREE... or as my maltese marra says "nobody does anything for nothing in malta".........
