Strange question coming from a bald eagle such as myself but for Lynn, what is usual cost for hair trim and any recommendations of hair dressers in Xaghra or Rabat? Thanks :-)

ask around Red as there are lots of freelancers doing this sort of thing - you might find there is one your doorstep

How about men's?
I was charged 20 euros last week in Sliema for a 10 minute job..

edit: might be worth it going for the "bald eagle" look myself..

€3?........²õ³Ù°ù±ð·É³Ù³ó!

Do you have to bring your own bowl as well.

no its usually trainee hairdressers getting practice in and making a bob or two on the side . and to be fair there was a fair age range - young and old.....and from what i could see i thought they were doing a good job.

- suits the oldies a lot.... no interest to me as am a fully fledged and certified smoothy. "who loves ya baby" see what i did there.

ladies hairdressing can vary tremendously especially in early days of living here - as the salons assume your a tourist. The missus has used quite a few local girls for hairdressing - some in salons some in your own home.. best bet is to ask around .

In Xaghra square next door but one to Cini petrol station you will find Josephine and her daughter who are great hairdressers, great for a trim, a lot of older clients who want trim colour and set, hair cut was about €5 colour and cut was €16 or there abouts. I now use Heidi in the salon down  stairs in he Duke in Victoria. Very very good, varied clients, younger and older, hair cut is €10 I think, cannot for the life of me remember exactly.

There's a nice elderly gentleman in a small salon on Howard Street, Sliema - he charges €3 for a haircut (and he takes his time about it, too)!

Thanks for that!
Is that near the Exiles or near the Preluna side of Howard Street?

It's close to the Preluna side, about 150 meters down the street. But he is quite busy so you might have to book first.

Thank you, we know that one and another close by D'Venue.
Lynn will try Josephine next week. Can't beat personal recommendations. For me, Lynn does mine with hair trim razor,  I hide my bald patch in plain view, a legacy of allopecia nervosa I had in Malta in 1978, fell out over night!
