tal lira closing down?

Does anybody know if Tal Lira stores closed down completely? I went to Sliema and Mosta stores, but both are not there any more. Is the big tal lira jumbo store gone as well?

i think theyre closing the smaller cheap stores and moving into bigger jumbo stores and going "upmarket" from the everything 聙2 upto 聙5 to 聙10

i could be wrong of course...

And what is happening to the 0,99 shops? is it the same enterprise behind? when I came to Malta there was plenty, and now 3 of them which I knew have closed, and I can only assure there is the Birkirkara one. I imagine selling things for 0,99 was not profitable enough....

The Tal Lira Valletta store on Zacchary street is definitely open. It's true that some items have higher prices like 5 聙 or 7. It doesn't look like it's closing down.
