Gozo commuting

George76

Hello to all,

Is it convenient commuting to and from Gozo on daily basis due to a job?. I had a job offer at Gozo but i'm unsure if i will accept it .  If anyone has done it, please tell me your experience, i would appreciate it very much.

Thanks,
Giorgos

It’s probably easier traveling to Gozo daily then from Gozo to Malta, depends how long it takes you to get to the ferry.

Hallo George 76,
travelling from Malta to Gozo takes time.25 minutes on the ferry in the morning and 25 minutes on the way back. The most of the travellers actually come from Gozo and work in Malta. However, a few live in Malta and work in Gozo.
In this particular case I would suggest if the new job is well paid take it and after the probation move to Gozo, because housing in Gozo is more reasonable and you have other advantges like a cheaper ferry rate and a quiet  environment.

i live in Msida, it takes  quite some time by bus from valetta to cirkewwa, about 1 hour.

If it’s a good job in Gozo why not move, a better quality of life then Malta, renting is cheaper but has risen quite sharply in the last year or so.
