Keeping pets in the Netherlands

Can somebody please give me some information on having pets in the Netherlands? Are there income tax for keeping dogs or are there dog licenses? How many dogs can you have? Can you have dogs at most apartments?

In the most municipalities you have to pay tax for each dog you have and the rates can be different.
There are no limits about how many dogs you have as long as you take care them very well and your house is big enough to keep them all. Dutch are very sensitive about noise from their neighbours so you have to keep this in mind.

Normally there is no issue to keep pets in apartments but it depends on the owner or house rules. You have to check this at forehand.
