Actually you can do it all at the same time when you go to the embassy in Oslo. Just make sure you have the requirements ready.

Whn I renewed my passport in 2015 , I was just planning to renew and report my marriage but the officers there offered that if I want I can change my last name too, and I said yes. It was easy and fast.

Hi to everyone. I just entered this site and need some help and information in regards to renewing of passport. Is there anyone here who renewed their passport lately? How long is the processing time? And do the embassy have a «rush» process. Thank you for the help and answers.

I suggest you contact the Embassy directly for information.

Sad to say, the embassy is bot good in answering phones and so emails. They never pick up

I am not sure if they have rush options regarding passport, if I remember what they said, passports are made in the Philippines. Meaning the documents/date we have will be sent over there to produce the passport and then the passport will be sent back to Norway and then to you if you don't live in Oslo. This you have to clarify with them, and you really will need some patience by calling several times if they take a while to answer.

It usually takes 2-3 weeks provided there is aren't any holidays or change in rules  that will affect the working days. For example when I renewed mine, it was during the mandatory change from old to e-passports therefore mine tok a little over a month.

Luckily I have called them twice and got responded both times when I called them. Leaving them an email might be an option too.
