Where to live in Bergen

camjon

Hi!
Can somebody recommend a nice and quiet area for a family with children in Bergen. Not so far from the city center or at least close to bus stops :-) Close to gyms, supermarkets and playgrounds are positive.

And by the way, do you meet through this group? Would be fun to meet new friends or mums when we move in about 1 month!

Hi Camilla, many families - and especially immigrants - live in Fyllingsdalen. It has a lots of nice spaces for walking, a shopping mall with lots of grocery stores, schools and preschools and is only 5 min. to town by bus.

Yeah, I'd say Fyllingsdalen or Nesttun if you want something close to central, but I've never lived in either.

Sletten or Landas is also a good place because of close proximity to international school, supermarket, trams(bybanne)and bus routes to centre of city.

It is quite and family friendly too.

Hope to see you sometime in bergen with family.
