hi. im planning to stay in stavanger too and im having a hard time looking for a flat that is not costly for me. i am new to the place and will be studying in the country. please help

I'm afraid Stavanger is one of the most expensive cities to rent/buy in the world, due to the presence of the oil industry and very strict planning rules. You might have to share with someone if you want to save money. You can look on for listings. It might be a better option to contact the university accommodation office to ask for help. They might have some cheaper options available.
