Travelling while still waiting for your residency card

Hello! A classic question I know but wondering if anyone has any recent experience of this.

I'm due to travel to Kenya (via Istanbul) ad the end of next month for 9 days. But I still haven't received my Residency Card for my D8 visa, despite it being 90 days since my AAIMA appointment. Has anyone had any trouble getting back into the country with their temporary residency permit?

Travelling while waiting for your residency process to be completed can lead to a number of problems, such as your residency being rejected and you being out of the country, unable to return or having problems returning.聽 As well as being in possession of provisional documents.

I suggest you check this with AIMA.

@JohnnyPT would this also be the case if you return to Portugal but you have the receipt from AIMA for your D8 visa and in possession of an Atestado de resid锚ncia document ?
