Confused about criminal record requests for VSF appointments in Portugal? Get insights on requirements and how to obtain necessary documentation.

Does anyone understand what this is? I read on one of the group's instructions that VSF consulates outside US are the only ones who ask for this and not the ones in the US. We already have our our FBI criminal record certificate and understand that one. But is this request needed at the VSF appointment and if so, how do we get it? Thanks

I believe this will be a search of the PT criminal data base to determine if you've been naughty or nice in Portugal and will be done, if I remember correctly, during your AIMA interview.

It is only to give your authorisation when applying for or renewing your residence permit (by completing and signing this document). This document is a PDF that can be found on the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. (mne.gov.pt)

@dvaughanjonesDoes anyone know how to get a criminal record check in Portugal if you are applying for a long term visa in another country after living in Portugal several years.?
