AIMA Appointment 15th October

samwilliams20

Hi,

Would anyone be able to issue some advice.

I received by Visa from the Portuguese Embassy in London in June with a pre booked appointment for 15th October in Porto.

So I attended my appointment Tuesday at AIMA, I gave them all of my Documents, They took my Picture, Finger Prints, Signature etc and Paid the fees that were due (178).

I was then given a receipt for payment and also a document labelled Recibo Comprovativo De Pedido De with my photo, name, DOB, where Im from and address of my house in Portugal where I will be living.

The lady at the end of the meeting said all is done and I will receive my card in upto 3months time.

Would somebody be able to confirm if thats me done now? Have I been approved?

thanks

Hi how did you get a pre booked appt? I have been waiting since October last year D7 visa?

samwilliams20

Hi,

Unsure if its a different process but mine was a D8 not D7.

When I received my Visa / Passport back from the embassy I had a letter with my appointment

@Andrew Finnie Hi, which country did you apply from? I'm just getting my paperwork together to apply in London. THanks

@Andrew Finnie I applied for a D7 and got my visa alongwith the appointment date. This is the norm, I am surprised that you are still waiting for the appointment. You would like to pursue it with AIMA, there is no reason to not give you an appointment. I applied last year for Visa and came to Portugal in Jul this year. I have received my Residence card as well.
