Successful D7 application from India?

Guest198756
Has anyone from India on this forum successfully immigrated to Portugal on a D7 visa?

As an Indian who is considering applying for a D7 visa, I am beginning to worry that it is a rare phenomenon. I have looked through this forum but have not come across a single case of an Indian citizen making it through the D7 process.

I can't claim to know much about this. But isn't a d7 visa based on income or investment, or something? In short, it is about money, isn't it?

D7 visa requires a passive income available at the start of visa application. It is not very common for Indian nationals to go this route, from what I have seen here.

It isn't common but totally allowed!
If you can prove the income and all the requests that D7 needs you should apply it.

I strongly recommend you to open a bank account in Portugal to start this process using a professional or by yourself. The bank account is really important for you D7 applicantion.

Good luck!

I am doing this, right now, India is waiting for the bank account, I am using the e-residence.com services, seems fine.

I need some advice, Can i use cryptocurrency as proof of passive income? Somewhere in the forum, I read that there are some lawyers and expeditors available can someone please drop a link or two? I would like to show my documents to them to get some clarity thanks

Hi Saransh,

Solicitors, Lawyers & Administrative division of Portugal:

Cryptocurrencies are not accepted as passive income for the D7 visa. But you can find out more about this from a solicitor or lawyer in Portugal.

Kind Regards

Thanks for the prompt response. It looks like its a grey area, though I am coming across some forums where people are using Crypto as proof, not sure how much importance does it weigh in case of approval of those cases.
