Thinking or retiring in the south of Portugal

gpoitevien
Hi everyone, I’m Genevieve & I’m hoping to retire in the south of Portugal somewhere. Do you have any suggestions for a good quiet town with good food & good health care? What is the cost of living there? Is it easy to buy a small house with a garden? I know the people are friendly since I’ve been there before. Tell me everything please! Is having a car beneficial?

Hi Genevieve, Welcome on board !

The cost of living will depend on the town, i guess!

It's always best to visit before making  "the" move, right ?

Have you ever been to the South of Portugal ?

Hi Genevieve, Welcome.

Tavira could be an interesting option to be considered:

@Bhavna

I’ve been to Palmela years ago for a cake fair at the castle. I immediately fell in love with the place. I look forward to exploring more cities in October when I come.
