Hello I am Scottish and coming to Moscow for the World Cup ...I have been allocated 2 tickets for 2 matches in Moscow so far!
I am really looking forward to it especially as most of the competin teams are known!
Do you support CSK or Spartak?
My hotel and flights are already booked...I am travelling solo and may need some help as I don't speak Russian!....keep in contact

That's cool! Actually, I'm not into football, but I like watching it sometimes. If you need any help in Moscow I'd be happy to help. Maybe I will go to the world cup myself.  I'm sure it'll be cool! But I haven't bought any tickets yet.

Hie.. I am a female solo traveller who is going to three places in Russia  (St Petersburgh, Kazan & Moscow) this July 2018. Kindly advice if it's safe for me to travel and walk around alone by myself. I am not going to watch football but just to want experience the World Cup fever.

These three cities are safe enough if you take care. Do not drink alcohol with strangers. Avoid taxies who flock at airport and train terminals and metro stations, use Uber or Yandex.taxi apps. Read this website for more details.
Pay particular attention to basic-information/security and basic-information/socialising sections.

These are the most important things. I would say almost the same: never drink alcohol with strangers and avoid any conflicts with them (I saw a group of foreign football fans quarreling with locals - don't think this is a good idea). Use only official taxi services (the ones mentioned before) and reliable transfer ones (I can recommend this one ). Private drivers may overcharge you (it is not a rare situation now). If you're going to use the metro, prepare some maps (for example, download them to your device) and attentively follow the signs at the stations in order not to get lost.

Another thing I would like to say is always respect the traffic rules. Thus, never cross the street when the light is red. Here, in Saint Petersburg, I've met some foreigners who did this. It's dangerous, and it's better to wait a little more than risk your life.

I'm looking through some stuff after a trip to Russia and I've found tickets and FAN ID.
It was a great summer. Heard that it is possible with the FAN-ID to re-visit Russia. Is that true?
