Mmm! Queensferry! Great school and nice area. BUT! Even though it is in the Edinburgh City Council, Lothian Buses don't go there. This is a huge consideration. This means using the First Buses network. They are awful. And expensive.

How about Edinburgh instead? The Royal High School, Boroughmuir or James Gillespie High School catchments would be better. Of those, the pick quality wise is Boroughmuir. But if you want to live near the sea, then I recommend Barnton/Cramond. Though, they are also not on very good bus links.

If you don't care about public transport, then I think Queensferry would be a great place to live.
