business partnership

Jaymobil

Hola Todos,

Lots of experience living and immersing amongst Galiceans. At home in London right now, planning to start a mortgage in Provincia de Pontevedra.

I like to make contacts and friends.

Would be interested in a business partnership. Opening an Academy or a Coffee and conversation type place/business. Have a degree in Musical Theatre so can teach Ballet and Jazz, street or hip hop dance classes too. Tefl certificado.

Can give advice or help.

Have a decent level of Castellano Spanish, plus some Galego.

Moitas grazas. Saludos
J

Hi!
I’m Sonia and just came back to Spain (Vigo)  after years in the UK. I’m Spanish, but I really do miss surrounding myself with people from different places and cultures and also speaking Shakespeare‘s language with genuine native speakers.... I’m not planning to launch any business, but if I can be of any help or you need any advice from a local buddy, get in touch! Sonia

Hi Simon and Jackie,

Having had a Galician girlfriend for 3 years - It is now my dream to move to Cambados or Vilagarcia De Arousa. In the Province of Pontevedra.

It seems you have successfully purchased a property and live there established.

My difficulty is... How I open a bank account so I can put down a deposit on a property. I'am not yet sure of the property, although I have visited 7 flats and Casas. This has become a really long process and I do not want to lose/waste anymore years.

It is my belief, that I would first need an NIE number? But without employment in Spain, I cannot get an NIE number and therefore cannot open a bank account, buy a property or even rent one!? The whole thing seems absolutely impossible! Yet hundreds of thousands of British people have bought homes in Spain? (Though Galicia is very different to moving to Alicante!) I believe there is a non citizens register, I can get certification for, from the National Policia ?

This is a long shot - obviously, I do not expect any help from anyone and do know this venture is my own and will have to deal with it, any help possible would be more than appreciated.

Are you retired, or have you been successful in obtaining work? Or setting up business?

It seems apparent that I would need to start by going to Vilagarcia De Arousa and obtaining either an NIE number or the citizens register thing, which I don't know much about. Then I would need to open an account and then need to find a lawyer that speaks English and is trusted? It is also to difficult to find employment when I cannot find a home or bed to sleep in, while I go through this daunting process. Am I right with all my info and years of studying this? Is there any other helpful pointers that you could give me. I'am just a single man hoping for a life outside of an impossibly expensive London area I'am from, with rent above 600 a month in a shared situation. Galicia really is my hope for happiness and people in my world.

Thank you for reading all the best
Jay

Hi Guys

If you have read my post - I'am quite desperate for advice from anyone that can possibly help. (I have received some weird and very negative answers from a couple of strange individuals! So, I would really be, so pleased if any could help that was able to positively support me in my dream and process of moving to Galicia and and obtaining an income.

Thank you and best of luck to you all.. as well.
