The Ukrainian Government despite all the troubles are really trying there best, People who have lost property due to the war, have the opportunity to be compensated for there loss. (dont start jumping up and down) nor start making a list of all the things you have lost. This is not a cash cow, and it does take a bit to get your head around, there are caveats as well, and the information is a big grey in places. First if you uploaded you documents onto DIR (聽 聽袛袉携聽 ) app. Then registration for loss etc etc is mush more simple. Other wise you need to go to the government department that has been setup for displaced persons. Each village town, city is different. You will need your registration for property documents, Local Id card (passport) and any bills . Know there are going to be situations where all is lost, Its not a very big issue, as all is on computer, but it will take an age to confirm you are you etc etc.
For what I understand the compensation is $600 per sq mtr. Regardless of start-up cost to your self. Property is not covered, nor is the fixings. I have also heard that some people have also had outstanding bills (Government ) deducted from this amount. ( can't confirm) . Its a start as they say.
From today crossing the boarder into Europe has started to be a little harder. Vigorous checks have started. Mainly for excessive amounts of money , drugs, and military equipment. Don't risk it as a term in a gulag will not be pleasant and there is no second warning, no ban. Just a trip to court and some nice bracelets.

Is there a minimum or maximum amount of money I am allowed to bring in and out? I carried $2800.00 in a money belt and I was not asked about it by either the Ukraine or Poland border guards. I did take it off and place it in tray that went across X-ray machine.
Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the war, it's possible we are going to see it expand. That's going to mean a lot more death and misery.
The EU looking at sending more massive weapons shipments means it's going to get worse as the Russians will probably increase attacks on supply lines in the west of the country.
Ukraine using those weapons against Russian civilians pretty much guarantees it.
The US saying Ukraine will join NATO, pushing that military pact even further East and leaving Moscow open to a pincer movement in a possible future war, means you can forget any hope of peace at the moment.
There's no way Russia will allow a hostile military force that close unless they are forced to by defeat in battle.
The EU and US supplying weapons might eventually mean the war expands into other countries. Nobody needs that.
A pessimist might even see a nuclear war as a possibility.
Political opinions and views don't matter, the likelihood of a few more years of bombs and bullets does.
@jw320061 so longs as you can show that lets say you took $20,000 into the Ukraine . i.e. bank statement, then there's no issues with you taking $20,000 back out.. Its if you arrive with 10k聽 and take 30k home. The rules are the same all over Europe.
