Hello houvharp,

Welcome to °µÍø½ûÇø :)

Thanks for starting this interesting thread.   :idontagree:

What have you observed yourself? Any habits of Armenian people which you would say Americans can relate to?

Curious to hear your response... I'm sure other °µÍø½ûÇøs will be, too ;)

Best,

Hi Diksha!
Armenians are often characterized as hospitable, friendly, have strong family values. Armenians are open-hearted and keep communication simple. They love having guests at their homes and if you don't want to try everything that cooked the hostess it would be considered insulting to the host )) It's an everyday habit for the women to drink black coffee with their neighbors and speak about others life. It is or was a rule that if the boy wants to date the girl he must speak with her brother at first and then date the girl. Needless to say, that after some time, the girl begins to wear longer skirts and asks her boyfriend for going everywhere.
I think that we are very interested in others' feelings, we love to choose every opportunity to help everyone who needs our help(the stranger on the street, your dear ones at home, everywhere and everybody), there are a too little number of indifferent people in Armenia.
