how will the employee assure that the employer will pay him for a freelance job?

Where is the contract to be recognized since there is no regulation for freelance job?

There is no regulation for freelancer jobs here in Bahrain.  That is the way it is.

There is recognition of contracts, provided they are executed in Bahrain but that has nothing to do with freelancer jobs, just where the contract was executed and under which legal act.  This is the way it happens all over the world.   Contracts are one thing and freelancing is another - don't mix the two............one deals with legal obligations and the other with the "how" you do the job.

For example, you have a client in the US and you are in Bahrain............if they don't pay you and you file a case in Bahrain, what happens?  nothing.  The court will say that they have no jurisdiction as the client is not a resident of Bahrain.  Now if your client is in Bahrain, a contract was signed between them and you under Bahrain law, you delivered and they didn't pay............you have the right to file a case in a Bahrain court for payment of dues (doesn't matter if you are not resident but the defendant has to be resident).  This is a civil case for breach of contract but has nothing to do with freelancing or remote work from home etc etc..............courts don't consider or care about that...........they will only look at the contract and where it was executed.

If you are a freelancer who works on the basis of contracts with parties all over the world and the contracts are executed in the country of client's residence then you are legally protected in theory.  Practically it will be a lot of hassle and money to file cases in foreign countries.    If you are a freelancer in the same country as a client (in GCC countries) then you need to worry about whether that country has a freelancer visa because if they don't, what you are doing is illegal  and you should be on a work visa - in this case, the contract is the least of your worries.

Bahrain also doesn't offer visas for freelancers like the UAE does.  And even with those visas, there is no protection for contracts with parties offshore / not resident in the UAE.  I think you have misunderstood what freelance means.
