Hi All,

I would be moving in to Bahrain within this month.

I have a query regarding Car Driving License.

I have a valid Omani and Indians License, would this be of any help in getting a Bahraini License?

What are the fees to be paid and what is the procedure for this. If classes are mandatory then I think within a 2 to 3 classes I should get the License.

Please assist.

Hi oberoi,

The Omani driving license can be converted to a Bahraini driving license.

You can drive with the Omani driving license until you get your resident permit and CPR card.

Once your CPR Card is issued you will have to convert the license and drive only with the Bahraini one.

Is it like, after landing in Bahrain , I can straight away start driving with the Omani License and as my CPR is ready, then convert the same to Bahraini License?

Please enlighten !!!

I currently hold a indian IDP as well as a residence permit of bahrain. I'm a student and make rare visits, Is my IDP valid to drive in bahrain? It would be really great if someone could help with this.
