Director-General of Traffic Shaikh Nasser bin Abdullah Al Khalifa announced on Monday that the points system for Bahrain鈥檚 all driving licences will come into force from February 8.

He said the system was meant to promote the sense of responsibility among drivers, especially those who intentionally violate traffic rules. He said the system created higher traffic safety levels.
