E-Visa extension of stay (Not extension of VISA but extension of stay)

lifelong°µÍø½ûÇø

Hello,

I have a 3-month e visa and I am inside Bahrain. My duration of stay is 1 month (30 days), is it possible to extend my stay (NOT EVISA but to extend the 30 days stay) without exiting Bahrain? If I exit for sure I can come back but I want to avoid it.

If I could ask,

what is the process? Should I visit the NPRA office? But they do not let anyone in. They just turn everyone away I assume due to covid period. So how can I extend it?

What are the fees if I manage to get it?

ANy forms to be filled?

What are the chances for it to be extended (NOT VISA) but the stay? Am I wasting my time trying to go to NPRA where they will tell me to just exit the country after 30 days or will they consider an extension to stay more than 30 days?

If they do agree to extend my stay will they consider another 30 days stay or only 14 more days?

Do they stamp anything on the passport or do they print a new receipt for you with new stay information?

Thanks in advance.

Go to visa services on bahrain.bh and request extension.  Usually after 90 days, they don't extend further.  However, this may be relaxed due to Covid - just check.  If approved, you will know the fees and so on.  No need for any stamp on passport.

Hello,

So I did the steps you mentioned, plugged in my details. it provided an option for extending for 20 days (NOT E-VISA) but the stay. I clicked next, next ... next and then it automatically provided an extension and game me a PDF file with NPRA header with 20 days additional from initial stay expiry.

I am a bit confused though because I did not pay anything and it happened almost automatically within seconds. I send myself an email for the receipt and I got this on the email 'The visa has been extended successfully through an eGovernment Channel. Please save the below details for future reference. For further inquiries, please call the National Contact Center on 8000 8001.'

So does this mean the extension is done or it is still under processing? I know the wording is obvious but I am not convinced that it is successful. If it is successful, why no fees, and how come it is almost instantaneous with no approvals while all other people go to NPRA and pay fees?

Thanks,

XTang

This is a new service brought out during covid. Before that you had to go.  And secondly, they are extending without fees prior to Jan 2021.
