Bringing my dog to Bahrain

Can anyone advise about bringing my dog to Bahrain in September. I鈥檓 coming over from LONDON and I found an agent to do the paperwork in Bahrain but do I need an agent there too? Can鈥檛 I just book her onto a flight and sort out vaccinations etc with my vet. Someone said she could be in the cabin as she is a 5kg Yorkshire terrier but doesn鈥檛 sound right to me. Would love to speak to someone who has done it she suffers from anxiety so I鈥檇 also like to know about the possibility of sedating here.
