Hey there, obviously there is a lot you need to know. What are the most important things on your mind right now? I'd be glad to help you out. I lived in Melbourne for some time and really enjoyed it. I can arrange a meeting with some °µÍø½ûÇø friends of mine as well if you would like.

It would be great to meet up when we are there in October.  My main concern is what life is like for a woman in Kuwait, is it as bad as Saudi or more liberal like Dubai?

It is midpoint really; in Dubai, things are more laid back, in Saudi there are no shades of gray. As long as you respect the culture by not dressing provocatively for example, you should have nothing to worry about at all. Kuwait is quite multicultural for the small country that it is and you will have a good experience mingling with people from all over. Let me know when you're here and I'll set something up.

Hi Sophia, if you enjoy socialising then this is definately not the place to come!! If you have a v good offer then come but you'll probably want to budget for plenty of holidays, weekend breaks etc. No problem here for women as long as you don't mind being stared at in certain places like the souks or just stay away from them.... my wife is back in the UK and after her first visit we knew she wasn't going to come out here her words after 3 days "is that it"

You can actually can find a lot of social meetup..

1) Normally your own county community organize a meetup, ie i was a bit fortunate that when I came here, the first 2 weeks was a about meeting with ppl from my country.

2) There are a few °µÍø½ûÇø group that arrange meeting. Ie, last 2 week, there was a breakfast meetup at the avenue, last week, there was a meetup at hard rock cafe. And I myself have a meetup for next 2 weeks with °µÍø½ûÇø group

3) You yourself can organize a meetup and invite others. Sure ppl will join you.

Yes, I am admit that if you are a 'lone ranger', this country is a bit boring. All you need to do is to start to join any social community.
