Hi, I'm Katie, I'm new! I've been offered a job starting in September as a teacher at a British primary school in Salmiya. They are offering 900kwd, accommodation and utilities, NQT year covered (BIG draw for me, proving impossible to secure where I live), and flights and medical paid. I have provisionally accepted the offer and am just waiting on receiving my contract! :D In the mean time, I am wondering if there are any teachers in Kuwait who could lend me some of their expertise! I am about 90% set on moving (unless something horrific pops up on the contract), just looking for that little bit of extra piece of mind! Thanks :D

I worked in Saudi before Kuwait, I didn't apply for anything from the UK, the school arranges for residency in Kuwait.

undoubtedly you have made the right decision financially, though I understand how daunting it can be. The big plus is you will not be expected to jump through the hoops that exist in UK teaching today. You will聽 also amass a large sum of money聽 quickly though Kuwait and the middle eastern lifestyle isn't for everybody.
