For renting there are many rent companies in kuwait and best prices as per my experience is in Ardiya area where there is a whole block of car rental companies. When renting a car Just make sure
- they will not make you sign promissory note as its illegal in kuwait now
- the other terms related to your liability when it comes to accidents whether the b-party is known or unknown. 

For buying cars, there are many ways in which you can grab a good 2nd hand cars in Kuwait.

- online (4sale app, q8car, hraj car, and many other °µÍø½ûÇø sites) highly recommended because you can on your own pace follow up with whats new and compare prices and make inquiries on phone before deciding to check it out. My advice is to take it slowly and fish for the right one once you have decided which car you want and start stalking the car sort to speak to compare condition/price range of what's being displayed on sale everyday. You can get some good deal if you patient enough and also try to avoid car brokers they're pretty much depending on online to get customers so its better to find someone who is the seller not through a broker.

- automotive retailers (they're spread out across kuwait and mainly in commercial areas like salmiya, hawally, jabriya, kuwait city, fahaheel etc) they sell new and used cars. They buy new cars from outside of kuwait and bring it in to sell so you its not from the auhtorised dealer in kuwait. 2nd hand they buy it from kuwait and outside kuwait and resell it here. You can check the cars out and inspect them through 3rd party car inspection service  (usually costs between 15 to 20kd for prepurchsse car unspection and negotiate the price accordingly (recommended but means you will commute often to check out cars.)


- almost all official automotive dealers also have a 2nd hand division.  (Not recommended as usually pricier and if i heard correctly they allow you to inspect the car only through them so you cant use an independent car inspection 3rd party.)

Lastly the car auctions held somewhere near jahra (not recommended)
