What you have heard is absolutely correct. In addition to it, your minimum basic salary should not be less than OMR 600 to bring your family.

Salary is not the issue for me. I have found out in ROP its not mentioned as its 6 month.
there are few people in my team brought there family with in 4 months.

I do not think there is any 6 months waiting period rule for family visa.
Your company may like to wait till probation or some such stuff . But from a government perspective there is no such wait period.

If you search in this forum, you will come across members , who have applied and got family visa prior to 6 months stay in Oman.

There is no absolute rule in the ministry to bring your family after 6 months. Its basically from the employers, who emboss this self made rule  over the employees. If you're able to convince your employer strongly, you certainly could call your family within 2 months even.

Try to apply for family joining visa. There is no wrong in doing it.It's  your employer(PRO) who will  handle it.Some PRO can handle things easily.
