Istiqdam office update / UK degree attestation

usamahbackup

Hoping someone can shed light on this unprecedented issue I have.

I have been trying to bring my spouse over to Saudi on a family residency visa under my Iqama. When I applied for an employment visa when I was in the UK the visa agent told me to rely on an exemption letter instead of my degree as it was online which would have got rejected. Therefore my sponsor wrote a letter to the embassy saying that they are happy with my experience. My visa was issued on this basis and I have been working in Saudi with no issues.

Now for the Istiqdam appointment which requires you to bring your documents for the family residency visa, one requirement is that you must present a degree stamped by the Saudi embassy.

The problem is that now the embassy have stopped stamping degrees completely. Why has Istiqdam office not updated their process in Riyadh? I tried to explain this but I was rejected and told to get a saudi embassy stamp on my degree. How can I get it stamped if they have stopped stamping degrees!

I have spoken to Visa Agents in the UK and they have told me that Saudi Embassay is no longer stamping documents. Once the Saudi Cultural Attachè attest it. It is then Apsotiled from the FCO and no longer requires further attestation / stamping from Saudi Embasay as Saudi is signed up to the Haugue Convention now meaning UK documents are accepted and do not require an Embassy stamp after Cultural Attachè has attested.

How can I get past this hurdle as it seems there is no way? Hague convention agreement means UK degrees no longer require a Saudi embassy stamp. Only cultural attaché attesting and FCO stamp.

what can I do???
