Hi everyone... I'm new:)

annpreilly

Hey my name in Ann and I hail from County Meath in the Emerald Isle:) I have recently graduated from Dublin City University and am one of the many struggling to find work due to our ongoing recession:(  I made the decision to embark on the TEFL training and attempt to teach English in Saudi Arabia. I was delighted to come across the °µÍø½ûÇø as it answered several of my queries regarding pros and cons of life in Saudi... visas... Jeddah vs Riyadh... how to get to Bahrain and what bus to take! And just knowing there are several people headed over so I could make possible connections should I land there myself:)

I guess my first question would be... are there many working in Saudi teaching English who are above the age of 40?

Thanks Armand:)

I thought it might be helpful for newbies who, like myself, are cautious of posting on the forums in the beginning... to realize that while there appears to be only 1 or 2 replies on the forum, queries are often answered in private mails. Having made contacts already from one post and an invite to a social gathering before I've left my country I think it's safe to say posting on the forums will be very useful for you quite quickly. The more you get to know the better you will be able to help other newbies then:)
