Job Offer

rdmedranoo

Hello everyone!

It is a pleasure to welcome you and wish you all the best in this 2015 .

I received a job offer Tamimi Markets to join their team as a store manager . But I find little information from them and my wife and I , as I imagine it is natural, we feel a little afraid of leaving everything in our country and move to Riyadh or Dammam and work in this company .

There will be someone who can give me information about them? Maybe someone who has worked for them or know their compounds ? It will be a serious and responsible company to honor its offer and not once in KSA change the offer ?

I appreciate your help and information.

Greetings !

Hello my friend,

at the moment the offer says 8 hours a day, any day off, and working 6 days a week. I have not signed the offer accepting it.

I am not sure about their compounds, if they are a serious company.

Thank you for your reply

Al Tamimi are a well known retail stores chain. They mostly offer a higher end/imported products on their shelves. They have a good reputation as a store.

As an employer, i have noticed that their employees are mostly content. Some have shown un-satisfaction symptoms but this is normal in every work environment.

As for work terms, the employer can not force you to work over 8 hours a day for five days (total of 40 hours) this is a new legislation so i would assume it is not a common practice so far.

I hope i have added some value to your decision making process.

Hello abozaid,

Thank you very much for your feedback, you really help me a lot making my decision, I am glad to know there is a well known company.

I'm trying to get information about their compunds before signing the offer, also I assume they will ask me to work more than 8 hours is a common practice in retail companies.

They to.d me that they will take me and my family with a visit visa first since there is no availability of permanent visas, is that ok?

Kind Regards,

visit visas (to my knowledge those are very short lived ) and they  will force you to enter and exit the country frequently - consequently making you bear the cost of travel as well?  there's some other drawbacks as well - no iqamah means no bank account, etc
