Depending on the job level and the type of contract terms they offer you might be able to sponsor your husband.  Women can sponsor their husbands or they can bring them on visit as well. You will need to discuss this in detail and agree with your employer on the finer details.

Can you tell me a bit more about visit visas? How this works and how long and often visits are possible could really break this deal. I guess 'visiting' and doing visa runs to Bahrain are out of the question in Saudi.

Visiting visa for spouse can be apply online n its easy to get it in a month. Duration for 6 months. U can apply again except in the month of Hajj.

If you still haven't agreed on the offer then its up for negotiations. If you signed already do check regarding the possibility of sponsoring the husband and if answer is no (for family status- flights / medical insurance) then check for visit visas.

In Aramco, or any govt entity the Hajj restriction doesn't apply for spousal visit visa.

Thanks a lot. That really helps. No, I've not accepted anything yet apart from the invitation to submit my application (and getting good feedback so far).

Thus if I understand correctly, if sponsoring my husband really is out of the question in the end then there might still be possibilities to live together by getting multi-entry visit visas and him doing visa runs. Provided of course I get through the interviews.

Of course there would be more questions like: how to make sure my husband can drive a car. Currently he has a Qatari drivers license (don't live there anymore) and a European one. I probably won't be able to buy a car and get insurance, and he neither as a visitor. Renting long-term? Lots of things to figure out should we get to that point.

You got answers for sponsring your husband. Visit visas can be extended upto 11 months without going to bahrain. All visa extensions are online at the click of button. you have to pay online SAR 100 for each extension. After expiry of 11 months he has to exit the country to his native country. and fresh visit visa need to be applied. Which will take 8-=15 days.

Regarding Aramaco its one of the best company in the world  with all amenaties. Dahran camp is one of the best camp and its like living in the western world.  Its a  very big camp with all facilities including very sofisticated Hospital inside the camp itself.

All visa fees and annual tickets are borne by Aramco.

My sincere advice, dont loose the opportunity it will be the most safe ( otherwise also Saudi Arabia is very safe place) place and you will enjoy working with Aramco. Aramco take care of their employees very well.

your husband cannot get  get driving licence  unless he has residance permit.
