Best cities for retirement in Saudi Arabia

Bhavna

Hello everyone,

An increasing amount of people want to spend their retirement abroad. Would you consider giving a few tips to those looking into Saudi Arabia for their retirement?

What are the most attractive cities for retirees in Saudi Arabia?

Why are these the best cities in Saudi Arabia for retirement (quality of life, cost of living, climate, health, security, etc.)?

Are there any specific areas in Saudi Arabia where there are special retirement schemes or retirement-friendly residential areas?

Are there any activities suitable for retirees in Saudi Arabia?

Do you have any tips on where to start looking or how to choose a suitable city for oneÂ’s retirement in Saudi Arabia?

If you have, yourself, chosen to spend your retirement abroad, please tell us what city you have chosen and why?

Please share your experience.

Dear Bhavna,

Good Morning. This is a contradiction topic.  This site is for °µÍø½ûÇøs in Saudi Arabia.  No °µÍø½ûÇøs are allowed to stay in Saudi Arabia, after age of 60 years or Saudi Arabia is not giving general Citizenship to °µÍø½ûÇøs people, so at the time of retirement all they have go back to their own countries.  what is the benefit to talk about retirement city, when you are not retiring in this country.

Good day

hakmeh

UAE Or Bahrain

Abha  first  or Taif second are cities to live as retirement. These are less crowded and have a nice climate.  Most urban necessaties are available.  People are friendly and as usual these  Cities are safe.   Enjoy Saudi Arabia.

There is nothing called retirement in the vocabulary of proactive people, the so called " age of retirement" is deemed to be the age of the top productivity for the elders in terms of providing their expertise, counselling, writing books and articles, training or establishing a small business etc...
providing that you are a Saudi citizen and you don't have anything to contribute to the society , the best city is Abha ; the southern region of the Kingdom.
For the non Saudi , the residence is costly, you have to pay for your yearly IQAMA.
One of the beautiful cities, I recommend for retirement is Ras Djebel in Tunisia.

Good Dat to all,

Saudi Arabia recently announced a new regulation allows °µÍø½ûÇø to stay as resident for lifetime, however an amount of 800 K SR. must paid as a fee for this previllages residenceship permit, this amount is equivelant to 230 K USD. approximately.
Best cities are Madinah for its holy spirit, then Taif, Abha, and Baha, for their good climate and beautiful nature.
For any further information don't hesitate to be in touch.
Yours,

Dear Bhavna,
I am agree with wadud242. we are not allowed to stay after 60. If someone from your children working here, then you can stay here.
The best cities for spending time with all aspects is Jeddah, If you stay jeddah, you can easily travel to makkah and madinah. There is also beaches for outing.
