Resignation Before expiry the contract after completion of 10 Years

Dear,

I resigned after completion of the 10 years, but my 11th-year contract is already renewed and my employer said if you leave before the expiry of the contract so they will deduct the 6 months salary from my End of Service Benefits.

Please advise based on your experience or give any reference from the Ministry of labor to confirm this.

When did you sign the contract in the first place?

Read the labor law.聽 After 3 renewals or 4 years, a fixed term contract becomes an indefinite term contract as per article 55 of the Saudi labor law.聽 This means that resignation is governed by the notice period in the contract and NOT via completion - this works both ways.
