Im here in dammam. I have heard that to travel within dammam there is only taxi as an option. That sounds ridiculous as its 10 SAR per ride. And its too expensice. Isnt there any public stop by stop bus type service??

It's very limited and not covering the whole city. You can rely on taxi, UBER or Careem rides

Option is the Saudi Arabia Public Transport Co. (SAPTCO) bus having inter-city daily trips i.e. Dammam to Riyadh - Hofuf - Khobar - Jubail. Google it to check the daily route and public bus stops.
