Want to resign from current employer

tanajib

Hello all.

I need your help and suggestions for my case which is kind of important and a priority in my life.
I have worked with my current employer for 7 years. Signed a contract only and they haven’t given copy of the contract. They are beating around the bush when I ask for contract letter.

I have got a better offer from another company with better pay and services. How can I leave as soon as possible and is there any chance I can get release as they are saying they can’t give release as I was transferred to this company by my own Iqama.

Please do advise as I rely on your opinion as that is the only option that I have. Please consider this as grievance from someone who has given everything for this firm but have to leave for a better future and career.

If your current employer doesn’t give you release then you can’t move.

Currently, to transfer, your employer needs to approve it.  It is NOT a right due to you but a privilege provided by the employer.  However, if you came to them via a transfer, then courtesy dictates that they give you a further transfer.  To try that, you will need to file a case in the labor court.

The new law say that you just have to resign 2 months before. Check the work law it’s better than before I think you can do it.

The new law has NOT been implemented yet.  They announced abolishment of kafala system.  The details and implementation will happen next year.  Right now, it is the same old law.
