Employment and Final Exit

Hello,

1.聽 I'm with a company which does autorenewal of the contract every 12 Months.
2. Right now I have completed my 1st year and running my 2nd year 3rd Month.
3. As per my Contract document , it says if I have to leave company I have to give 2 months Notice period.

My Question;
1. I want to do a final exit and move back to my country.
2. I'm ready to give 2 months notice and then leave the company.
3. But the company is saying that I cannot leave the company until my contract ( ie next 9 months ) is complete.

Is this true ? Can't I leave the company and do a Final Exit by giving 2 months notice.

Please guide.

Check initial contract. if this is 2 yrs initial contract then you have to serve remaining 09 months. if its 01 yr contract, u can leave now after serving 02 months notice period.

Thank you for your reply.
As I said initial contract was for 1 year and it completed on February 2021.
It is Auto renewed to next 12 month meaning the next contract is till Feb-2022.

So if I want to resign now(April 2021) and give the 2 month notice period and can I leave in July-2021.
Please advise.
