Greetings,

I've just been in Jubail a month and while my co-workers seem to have an okay grasp of the "landscape" it would be nice to do things and meet people outside of my workplace, which is on the Naval Base.

Ideas, activities, events?聽 I'd appreciate any input on who, what, when and where about making life here more interesting.

Welcome (back) to the Kingdom!聽 Sorry, can't help you with things to do--I'm in Riyadh, been here 5 months and am in essentially the same boat.

Upside for you is you're male so more opportunities to get out and about.

Beware of strict police law enforcers in Jubail, heard they never let up

Once my friend went there to pick up a cousin and it was way past midnight and streets were dark. His rental car had these White High Intensity headlights , so when he turned them on to be able to drive comfortably in the dark it was only a minute and he got a police car tailing him (lights flashing)

He was fined 900 riyals just for the freakin Headlights.
