Canadian looking to come over.

deestrangled

I have a friend who is looking into moving here from Canada. He is 20, and a high school graduate - he can't afford to go to university. Is it logically possible (and probable) that he could find work here despite his lack of credentials? Are there any companies in the kingdom that would be willing to take him onboard? Also, is it illogical to expect accommodation upon his arrival?

I thought that perhaps he could teach English or work in the IT field. But maybe I am being silly. Any help would be appreciated :)

Being a Canadian, there are just a few ways to enter Canada. What you are talking about is the skilled worker program. There must be a valid reason why a person would be issued a work permit on the basis of a skilled worker for permanent residence.

Without key relevant education, or more essential, a job offer, it will be essential to get that. This means you need to find an employer who wishes to get through all these procedures.

I do not want to be negative, but this is a though one to pass through. The best is to look for places where studies are cheaper than in Turkey, and get loans to get higher eduation.

Oh, no, darling. I didn't phrase my post correctly it seems. I mean he is a Canadian in Canada who wants to move to Saudi Arabia.

Maybe he can be a teacher in Saudi Interlink Language Center in Al-Yamamah University here in Riyadh. I think he must be qualified before he can get the job.

Here are some links that might be useful:

and if you want more information I can help you because I currently study in that university.

Hope you the best and your friend,

Most places want skilled professional labour and two to three years experience in that field. If he still wants to teach english per say, he will still have to have 'paper's to do so.

hi

He can come here, if he can buy a visa, try to contact some service offices, and ask them if you can buy a visa , tell the office that he will come from Canada.

I think this is the solution. They call it Free visa, he can be sponsored in the beginning by a sponsor, then he can look for companies to work in.

Hi,

Answer is yes - but it would take a lots of effort.
1. get some company or some saudi local establishment to issue a "visit visa request with authorization number". (it's just a request not a visa - may cost 25 riyals)
2. You would need a registered company in canada that will give permission letter stating reason to visit canada *(business purpose only)
3. Get that letter and stamp it from Board of Trade -Toronto or Chamber of Commerce.
4. Once he is here, as long as he speaks Good English he can land plenty of jobs specially in Marketing, Sales and Language teaching. Once on job, companies can arrange for permanent visa later on.

So yeah it's do able but just know that one has to be prepared to go through all this hassle of Paper work, cultural shock and Job search. Leme know if you need more detailed info.

Agree - not Saudi - just tell him to work 2 extra jobs at Mcdonalds he will be much happier to go home to his family and have a beer after a hard days work or even go to movies.
