Post Services

brackenb

Hello all,

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine here in Riyadh town :)

Can anybody advice on the reliability of post to the UK.  I have some fairly important documents to send back and thought of using the postal service.  A bit concerned though about whether its reliable.  Experiences please

I'd suggest going for courier services. If you are specific about Saudi Post (SPA), make sure you send via *registered* post.

I second "TheLegentLeads" opinion.
In addition, instead of SPA send your important document through DHL, UPS, FedEx or some other trackable courier service.

In this way you could track your documents and also press the alrm button if anything happened wrong.

Thanks,
Kamran

Don't they would charge minimum 300+ and the document will reach in 4 days minimum

Saudi Post will charge 10-15 riyal registered post and the document will reach in 7-9 days

If they are important documents, they have an express service like Bareed Mumtaz which costs 100-150 . The service is similar to DHL, UPS, FedEx and you can track your shipment.

Thanks for your help. Food for thought

Your employer might have a contract with FedEx or UPS and allow you to use their number.  It cuts the cost by 75% (I know this because I almost paid full price to the US)!
